Engine Torque Damper reduces engine movement under on/off throttle conditions such as gear shifts. Consequently, engine power is more directly transferred the wheels and wheel hop is reduced. The reduction of wheel hop is particularly noticeable on the RSX's first to second gear shift. The torque damper is made from CNC aluminum and chromoly steel. The damper itself consists of ABS plastic enclosed in a CNC aluminum sleeve. The plastic is compressed upon when the engine moves under load. The torque damper is compatible with engine mount upgrades and is highly recommended for high horsepower cars.
